Tips on getting featured & our quality standards

The following section covers our quality standards. Read it carefully to improve your chances on being featured on the B2B Vault's website, newsletter, and other channels.

What type of content do we feature?

We feature content related to B2B marketing, sales, product, growth, and other departments, except technical developmend and R&D.

Content that we feature must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. It's based on original insights or research - content that just recicyles same stuff that you can find everywhere else is considered fluff.

    This doesn't mean that every piece of content or facts must be backed with your own research data. On the contrary, original content also means:

    1. It covers your own secret knowledge and unique insights
    2. It's based on your POV
    3. It talks about your own experiences, experiments, failures
    4. It talks about the new concepts, ideas, or strong beliefs & opinions.
  2. It's not AI generated - This doesn't mean that we don't support the use of AI in writing the article. It just means that the "meat" and "core" of the article must not be recycled from other sources on the web (read #1 above). However, we still publish content that AI checkers show 0% AI content. This means that you can use AI for writing, but remember to invest time in editing
  3. It's conversational & written the way humans talk - Avoid using complicated words (such as enhace or industry terms). Every marketer or a 12-year old kid should understand what you're talking about.
  1. Make it actionable - Don't write "you should do content marketing to get more leads". Instead, be actionable and go into all the little details or at least provide more context where you can. We don't feature fluff and general "advice".
  2. Use images - we love seeing images such as screenshots, examples, breakdowns, graphs, etc. (Avoid using stock photos).
  3. Don't forget about formatting - No one is going to read long paragraphs. Make your content mobile-friendly. Shorter paragraphs with 2-3 sentences max. Break monotomy with some small paragraphs.
  4. Don't be too promotional - Remember, on the B2B Vault we feature original and evergreen content. It's OK to mention your service or offer here and there, but we don't feature content that's all about you and only you.
  5. Clear takeaways - every article we feature must have a clear takeaways or action points readers can get from reading it. So before hitting publish, ask yourself: "Am I really providing new information to the reader?".
  6. We don't care about the length, but don't feature articles with <500 words.

What type of content we don't feature?

  • We don't feature news or press releases (about your company/product. If they're related to the industry we might feature it).
  • We don't feature promotional content
  • We don't feature Product comparisons, alternatives, or content that promotes single product.
  • We don't feature content that answers basic questions that can be answered with a simple AI search, such as "What is content marketing?".

Our Vetting Process

We have a very rigorous vetting process, and we use the combination of AI to pre-score the articles for some fixed/strict criteria and real humans who manually vett each piece we receive.

What can you expect?

By submitting your content, once we approve it, we might feature it on:

  • Our website
  • In our newsletter
  • On our social media

Note that being featured on the website doesn't guarantee that we'll also feature you on social media and newsletter.

After submitting your content, please give us 5-10 business days to get back to you with the status of your submission.

If we find your article, unique angle or POV very interesting, but the content doesn't satisfy our quality standards, our team might work with you on fixing certain things making content even better. We do this for free, but have limited resources.
